Roaming Lands
[ ]The Edge
the outskirts of the valley are all referred to as being part "the edge", steep and rocky slopes that create the walls surrounding death's door. the edge is managable toward the bottom where it melts into the valley, but toward the crest it is extremely dangerous and jagged with rocks that either give way beneath you or over and on top of you. most horses do not try to climb out of the valley. it's most common to see horses attempting to get in, which sometimes they succeed in the less trecherous areas.

[ ]Recruiting Meadows
this meadow sits right beneath the least dangerous side of the edge where most horses from the outside come to the valley, thus it is the perfect spot to find herd members. horses that have been born in valley also come here for it's reputation as being the place to find a home. the meadow is thick with grass, but has some rocky areas from where the edge has fallen down. a small river flows through the area providing a cool drink to tired travellers.

[ ]Springwood Lake
this lake is fed my many different streams coming from all directions. it's the primary source of freshwater in the valley that supplies many rivers throughout death's door. the lake sits surrounded by a forest on one side, the tree density ranging from thick to sparse and spaced. the other side is a wide beach, composed of a mixture of gold and white sand. the lake is somewhat of a social gathering area for all horses.

[ ]The Grey
the grey is a nickname for the forest here. to the very north it is connected to springwood lake, but once you travel far enough south into the range of trees, the air becomes increasingly thick and a grey mist smothers the area. visibility is greatly reduced, sound does not travel, and for those who lack courage, this forest is extremely frightening. but in the few regions where the fog is not so thick, it's almost enchanting. be cautious of how far you travel in; you may not come back out.

[ ]Dyain Plains
these plains are your typical rolling fields of grass and other various vegetation. in the spring and summer, the plains are striking green and lush, but as fall and winter approach, the foilage goes through a drastic change and become instantly withered and brown. in the winter, this land accumulates the most snow. the warmer months are the opportune times to visit this beautiful, delicious place. otherwise it seems barren and cold in the cold seasons.
